Creating a task from an email - preserve formatting?

Postby rztaylor » Thu Nov 27, 2008 3:35 am

When creating a task from an email, is it possible to preserve the formatting of the text that is copied from the email into the task description? At the moment, any formatting, colouring or tables are lost.

In the options, I have the attachment option disabled and have the full text of the email copied. I'm using version 4.5.3 of CC.

Thanks for the feedback. There is not currently a way to do this, but we do have it on the list for future consideration. FYI - it's a little trickier than you would expect because full HTML formatting in Tasks was not introduced until Outlook 2007 and the Outlook API's do not fully support it. In the near term, if you re-enable the attachment option, you will always have the fully formatted email available as part if the task. Alternatively, use MessageContext to open up the original message with formatting.
