Multiple Profiles - Question about function

Postby bbach » Wed Nov 22, 2006 10:39 am

Hello,

I read the FAQ as well as several posts on the topic of having multiple profiles. However, each of those seem to indicate the desire to NOT have CC work on some of them. I do want to use CC on each of them.

My question is, can CC work on each of them? Will there be any conflict? I have 2 Exchange accounts and then a HTTP mail account. I then share a PST for long term filing. Am I able to use CC in this situation, how will it function and what might the issues be?

Thanks
Ben

ClearContext will run in each of them. However, the issue is that you can't set ClearContext preferences seperately for each profile. So, any aliases you set up in Identity or AutoAssign rules will apply to all profiles, not just the one you set them up on. Also, if you change the location of your ClearContext Topics folder it may not be able to find it on other profiles. In particular, were you to set up your ClearContext Topics folder to reside in "Mailbox User Name 1", when you switch to another Exchange mailbox, it may not be able to find your Topics folder and/or may switch the Topics folder location to "Mailbox User Name 2."

Please let me know if I can provide additional detail.
