Not filtering when OutLook 2007 is starting

Just out of curiosity, why the recommendation to leavel Outlook running over night?


Because it will make the problem go away. :-)

I suspect the issue is that the mobile device is putting the message in some sort of state that causes IMS to think it doesn't need scoring when it is first received. If you leave Outlook running overnight, IMS will score the message once it is received but before the mobile device can cause the issue (just like it does during the day...).
