Not sorting "Threaded View" correctly; new mail at

Postby gerwin » Wed May 28, 2008 8:45 am

The Threaded View, the view I use most often, isn't sorting new mail that comes in correctly ... since the sort is by date, then by email subject, all new mail should show up at the top.

I find that occasionally some, not all, new mails end up at the bottom of the inbox ... and it takes a rescoring of the inbox to fix this.

Any ideas how to permanentaly fix this, so mails aren't missed at the bottom? Thanks.

I have the latest greatest version w/TWC (loaded earlier this week).

This indicates that you are encountering unscored messages; likely due to a conflict with another process or device. Try following directions here to adjust your processing delay and see if that eliminates the issue.

Do I need to make scoring shorter, or longer? The URL above didn't say ... It was already 1 notch away from shortest processing delay ... I moved as far to the left as it would go for quickest processing.

It could be the Blackberry BES issue ... but not sure why this is an issue ... don't most or a high % of your clients use a BES and for years? Can you fix that bug if so? Won't be turning off my phone anytime soon!

What I could do is when cradled, have mail suspend ... untill uncradled from my PC ... I might try that ifyou have no other suggestions.

Thanks forthe prompt reply! Great support.

There's a detailed technical explanation of the challenges Blackberry presents to us and how we work around them here.

To answer your question, you should try multiple settings on that processing delay slider until you find one that works. It could be a longer delay will allow changes to sync to the client before IMS makes it changes or, the way you have it now, it could be that IMS gets its changes in before RIM.

What worked was slowing down the processing to the SLOWEST ... seems to be working like a charm, Thanks!

Your tech support via the forums is always incredible. Thanks for such great product and support!
