Installing without administrator privileges

Postby jeromg » Wed Dec 13, 2006 6:31 am

Hi there,

I'm currently an administrator on my WinXP machine, however our IT folks are considering changing our permissions to standard user. It means that in a few months I won't be an administrator anymore on my laptop, I'm trying to explain them that without ClearContext I'm dead...
I know I'm asking a lot to you guys, however, is there a way to install ClearContext without being an administrator?
Thanks in advance.

ClearContext does not currently require Admin privileges to install - you should be fine after they change your rights. If your rights are being changed on your current user account, you will want to uninstall before the change is made and reinstall afterwards.
