Trial crashes just after clearcontext splash screen

Postby kevinvinv » Thu Mar 22, 2007 11:58 am

Downloaded the trial version and installed to Outlook 2003.

After the clearcontext splash screen- I get the ole "Do you want to tell microsoft about this problem" screen and the next time I open outlook it says that the clearcontext plugin caused problems and do I want to disable it?

Any thoughts?

I'd like to help. Please send me more information:

What version of Windows are you running?

How do you access your mail ? (POP? Exchange? IMAP?)

Are you running any other add-ins?

Proactively, you may want to run diagnostics / scanpst against your mail file. More detail on that process is here.

Thanks in advance for your patience as we troubleshoot.

Windows XP
Outlook 2003
Scalix (IMAP) email
Other Addins: Lookout, Sperry Follow-up Reminder (just uninstalled sperry though)

First time I installed CC I had outlook open by mistake... got some sort of strange error... closed outlook and reinstalled.... didn't get that error but now get a crash

Sorry I dont have the details on the original error.

Thanks for your prompt response so far.,...

Kevin:

This is likely a problem with SCALIX. Currently ClearContext supports MS Exchange and/or POP accounts only. We are looking into support for additional mail protocols in future versions of the product, but I don't have a time estimate for implementation.

Thanks for trying us out.
