whenever i opened outlook,a message that exchange is currently in recovery mode would appear.i deleted the old cache mode and created a new one.now when i start outlook again, it is not possible and i get a message that the default exchange server is not available.how can i recover my old cache mode?

Is this related to the use of IMS, or just a general exchange issue?

Try running Help > Detect and Repair against your Outlook setup.
