Request for a New Feature

Postby monzer_yazigi » Tue Aug 23, 2005 5:22 am

Sir
I had found your software after using it as an excellent one. It helped me alot in categorizing my emails.

However, I think if you add one more feature it would make it much better.

Feature Suggested:
To have a button that helps the user to jump to the first email in the selected topic.
Meaning, while reading my emails, I would like to view only topics related to a certain topic. Therefore having a button to view the selected subject would make our life easier in accessing our emails.

How about a filter?

Thanks for sending in this suggestion. You are correct that we don't do exactly what you want at this time. You may want to try creating a specific, filtered view for those topics that you used the most - this will ensure that you only see messages with the assigned topic in the Inbox. Here's how to set it up:

1. Select View > Arrange By > Current View > Define Views
2. Highlight the view you would like to copy (i.e. ClearContext Prioritized) and click Copy.
3. Give the view a name and click OK.
4. Select the filter button on the Customize View dialog.
5. Click the Advanced Tab on the Filter dialog.
6. From the Field Drop Down List Box select ClearContext CC-TopicName
7. Type the name of the Topic you would like to filter in the Value field.
8. Click Add to List.
9. Click OK > OK > Apply View

This should filter your Inbox for the topic you selected. To return to your original view select it via one of the ClearContext View buttons. To return to this view, select it from the list under View > Arrange By > Current View.

Thanks again for your suggestion - I am adding it to our features requests. In the meantime, please let me know if this helps.
