Alternate Mail Servers (IMAP/Hotmail/Google Apps)

As discussed in the blog, we have made significant infrastructure changes for v5.0 to support additional mail servers, most notably IMAP, Hotmail and Google Apps. The bulk of the development work to support these mail servers is complete, but the functionality is not ready for customer use.

We plan to provide initial test support for additional mail servers in the v5.1 beta, expected in early 2010. If you are interested in beta testing IMAP, Hotmail Connector, or Google Apps Connector support when it is available, please comment in this thread.

Also, please watch this post for future updates on IMAP support.

For Google Apps, are you referring to the use of Google Apps Sync for Outlook? I'm using that now with CC v4, which seems to be working so far. Happy to give it a spin with v5.

I have been searching for a tool like this for years. We use google apps and I'm on Outlook 2007 using IMAP. Please let me know when I can give this a shot.

My company uses Kerio Mailserver. For my iPhone I use IMAP. Kerio requires the Kerio Off Line Connector (KOFF) so it's not working with ClearContext at the present time.

I'd be willing to try the IMAP beta when it's available as I'm also a Beta user for Kerio so I'm used to dealing with Beta issues.

Please contact me when you have a Beta with IMAP for me to test.
