MessageContext doesn't remember expanded/collapsed state

Postby briguy » Wed Dec 09, 2009 8:39 pm

Seems like in v4.6, that if you collapsed the MessageContext pane inside the mail composition window, that CC would remember that and leave it collapsed the next time you opened a message. In v5 (beta 2), it no longer remembers that. Is this an intentional change?

We're not seeing this behavior. Please note that the MC state is remembered for messages, tasks and appointments separately, so just because you collapsed it on an open message doesn't mean that it should be collapsed on an open task.

Two additional bits of info... I'm using Outlook 2010, and it is when replying to a message that I see the MessageContext is always open. Opening an existing message seems to work correctly.

briguy - I'm using the exact same environment, but not seeing the behavior you describe. Please upgrade to the production release and verify that the issue still exists. If it does, go to ClearContext > About > Email Support and send that email along with a reference to this thread so that we can take a closer look. Thanks.
