Rafa:

We officially support the English language version of Outlook only. That said, we have tried to implement non-English prefixes for threading. It appears that we don't have RV: in the list of prefixes that we check for. In addition to RV, what other prefixes do you use? Let me know and I'll add to our list for a future release.

Thanks.

I noticed that some replies from my team members in China get treated as separate subjects/topics. This is probably the same issue that Rafa mentioned. Here is an example reply subject line:

答复: Recognition at Team Meeting Today

Yes, this is the same problem and is on our list for potential inclusion in a future release.

Thanks Scott.

BTW, it seems like Microsoft would already have a solution for this. Outlook is able to correctly group these emails if I sort by subject (see below), and looking at the "Conversation" field the prefix is correctly removed. Are you able to tie into the message Conversation field instead of the Subject field?

For technical reasons, the way that Outlook identifies conversations is not sufficient for our needs. We have an open item on our features list to take another look at a workaround for a future build.

I figured you would have already looked at that... Thanks for putting up with my suggestions :-)

Rafa:

We have added RV to the list of recognized prefixes in v4.5.2. Details on that release are available here. This won't fix the problem for messages already received, but it will thread correctly for all new messages.

Carl:

We haven't forgotten about your request, but Asian characters are a little trickier and require further investigation before we can support them as prefixes.

Thanks!

Thanks for the update. I will try how it works when german AW or english FW are mixed with spanish RV.

BTW, Which is the difference between 4.5.2 and 4.5.2D version?

The D indicates a development build of that version and does not include all of the fixes in our release announcement. Make sure that you are seeing v4.5.2, not v4.5.2D when you go to ClearContext > About > Email Support. If you are not, uninstall ClearContext via Windows Control Panel and reinstall v4.5.2.

It is not working in version 4.5.2
Have you added : to the prefix?
Also when answering to an email with RV: in the subject without topic , if we assign a topic to the current one, is not transferred to the original one.
Also creating new topic from the top botom list does not work as previously

Hmmm... I tested this in our labs and it worked when running the latest version. Please uninstall via Windows Control Panel, then reinstall from the download on our site. If it still doesn't work, go to ClearContext > About > Email Support and forward as attachments the two messages you expected to be related.

Also, just to verify, send a note to yourself, assign a Topic on send, and reply to that message. Do the messages appear in the MessageContext of the Reply and does the Topic stick?

Thanks.
