Why does dashboard show emails in red that are low priority?

For some reason, the dashboard is showing emails in a certain topic and coloring them red, even though I have marked the priority on them as low. Why does it do this?

Currently the dashboard colors messages based on automatic priorities, but not manually set priorities. We plan to change this behavior in a near term release.
